HAPPY SPRING! Finally, we can look forward to longer days and more sunlight!
Last week, I visited Ecuador, where my business partner Morten and I participated in this year’s LATAM Travel Mart, where buyers around the world meet suppliers from all of Latin America.
We, of course, showed the participants the best of Peru and I’m pleased to tell you that Peru is HOT, HOT, HOT, HOT and I’m convinced the government will reach its goal to double the number of tourists to Peru before 2021 unless the Congress wants to destroy that opportunity as well.
Yes, as you can hear, I’m not in favor of last week’s attempt from Congress to destabilize our country. Personally I think that former prime minister Fernando Zavala is an amazing person with all the talents to become a fantastic president to lead Peru into a prosperous future with less corruption, better education, improved infrastructure and more opportunities, but as the opposition is scared that this could happen, they’ll do everything to ensure that this government won’t succeed in their attempt to improve and lead Peru into a better future.

I’m not saying that PPK and his team cannot do better (mano mas duro), but it is really challenging when the opposition’s only mission seems to be the opposite and is questioning everything in a questionable way.

If you’re looking for the perfect list of prepare yourself for an earthquake here it is!
A concerned reader from our community sent me this video (in Spanish) – a message from lawyer and journalist Rosa Maria Palacios (Sin Guion).
Which has opened the eyes of many citizens here in Peru. Of course, not everyone agrees with her, but it is interesting to hear how the constitution is being disrespected and manipulated.
While living in Denmark, I remember that the “losers” of an election congratulated the new government and worked with them to ensure the future of Denmark while preparing themselves for the next elections, but that is not what I see here. What a shame!
It is not all bad!
My friend Paola sent me this video,
showing how friends and volunteers of Ocupa Tu Calle, an organization that improves your neighborhood, so you will feel good and proud of where you live. From the poorest areas of Lima to Miraflores, these people have impacted the lives of many. GOOD JOB!
Last, but not least, I found this BEAUTIFUL video of a 30 Day timelapse, with about 80,000 photos combined. 1500GB of Project files. Sailing in the open ocean is a unique feeling and experience. I hope to capture and share it for everyone to see.
This week’s joke:
Q: Why are politicians proof of reincarnation?
A: You just can’t get that screwed up in one lifetime.
