The new destinations with connections in Lima, departing from Bogota are Cusco, Arequipa, Iquitos, Piura, and Tarapoto.
The low-cost airline Viva Air launched a new connection service for the routes between Peru and Colombia and tickets are already available for purchase, according to information from Publimetro.
The connections can be made from any of the destinations offered by Viva Air Peru to Bogota with flights operated by VivaColombia, with Lima being the point of connection.
On March 13 the services of air transport between these two airlines will begin to operate. This “will allow them to expand their network of routes to transport their customers to more destinations in Peru and Colombia.”, wrote Publimetro.
As part of the benefits for customers, connecting journeys will be registered under the same reservation code and additional services will be billed from source to destination, except the seat assignment, which will be a complimentary service that will be charged per trip and per passenger. The policies for changes, reimbursements or additional service fees will be applied according to the airline where the ticket was purchased (Viva Air Perú or VivaColombia).
The new destinations with connections in Lima, departing from Bogota are:
- Cusco – Bogotá – Cusco
- Arequipa – Bogotá – Arequipa
- Iquitos – Bogotá – Iquitos
- Piura – Bogotá – Piura
- Tarapoto – Bogotá – Tarapoto
Aviacol also informed that starting from today, VivaColombia increased their flight frequency for the route Bogotá – Lima – Bogotá, from 7 to 10 every week, which will provide more time schedules for connections.
