On September 7 and 8 from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm the 2nd edition of Festival del Tulipán (Tulips Festival) will take place in Lima in the Parque de la Amistad.
The goal of this event is to spread ornamental horticulture in Peru and on this occasion people will be able to enjoy hundreds of tulips, free conferences by professionals and experts in various subjects related to this matter.
According to information on the event’s Facebook invitation, there will also be raffles, stands will be selling gardening products and more.
Another objective of Festival del Tulipán is to teach about the cultivation of ornamental plants. Topics such as planting, maintenance, fertilization and phytosanitary aspects will be addressed.
In addition, the event will count with the presence of the Embassy of the Netherlands who will comment on their floriculture.
And also, a contest for floral designers will occur and the winner will be chosen by the visitors of the event.
The admission is free and the Parque de la Amistad is located at cuadra 21 de Caminos del Inca, Santiago de Surco, Lima.
