Agricultural Projects Will Be Developed In Cusco To Boost This Sector


The Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation (Minagri) and representatives of the agricultural producers in Cusco, have agreed to identify and develop projects to boost agricultural activity in this region.

The agreement was achieved at a meeting in which a delegation from the Revolutionary Agrarian Federation Túpac Amaru del Cusco (FARTAC) participated, informed Andina News Agency.

In this meeting, it was agreed that a technical delegation of Minagri officials will travel to the region to develop the feasibility of projects for the benefit of the Cusco agro sector.

The first stage of actions that will take place includes a trip of the general director of Agrarian Infrastructure and Irrigation to Cusco to elaborate technical files jointly with the producers and the regional government.

Then, meetings will be held with the Ministry’s technical agencies to evaluate problems and solutions in agriculture. Finally, Deputy Minister William Arteaga will evaluate the progress and the execution of what was previously agreed upon.
