Long treks, shoddy hostels, bad food, bumpy roads–these are just a few of the things that make up the adventure of travel. The thought of roughing it out and experiencing the grittier side of life definitely adds spice and excitement to any travel experience; it creates a true, personal connection with the country we visit.
But every once in a while our travel plans lean toward comfort and leisure, a time to relax and recharge without having to deal with the stressful side of traveling.
The Belmond Hotel and Leisure Company unveiled its new sleeper train dubbed the Belmond Andean Explorer where luxury and comfort come together to provide a unique travel experience.
Set to launch in 2017, this new bad boy boasts spacious cabins with private showers, a lounge car complete with a baby grand piano, two dining cars serving delectable dishes using local ingredients for a true culinary experience, and an observation car where you can unwind after an already long and relaxing day with a pisco sour at the bar.
Now you can enjoy the sights Peru has to offer with their different travel packages that will take you to the ancient city of Cusco, through the magical Andes mountains, crossing the majestic Colca Canyons in Arequipa, or the mystical Lake Titicaca, all from the ideal comfort of this train.
The train only holds a maximum capacity of 68 people in order for comfort to be experienced at its finest, so if you have not already made plans for the following year, ready your bags because traveling through Peru never looked so good.
