Thousands of residents of Lima will be able to enjoy the Dulce Peruano pastry fair, which will be held from Friday, April 27 to Sunday, April 29, on the Castagnola boardwalk, in the district of Magdalena del Mar, informed Andina.
This fair will take place from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm and the visitors will be able to delight themselves with desserts such as huevo chimbo, sanguito, ranfañote, bola de oro, islas flotantes, turrones, melcocha, picarones, mazamorras, frejol colado, king kong, alfajores, and the traditional purple mazamorra.
Among the activities, there will be recreation for the children. They can get their faces painted, enjoy a show just for them, mini chef lessons and live music. The admission is free for everybody.
“The celebration of Dulce Peruano Day is a step in the goal for Lima to be recognized as the gastronomic capital of Latin America,” said the director of Dulce Peru, Elizabeth Du- Bois. She added that everyone who wishes to assist will be able to participate in the cooking master classes to be held on Saturday and Sunday, said Andina.
A pastry contest will take place as well among entrepreneurs and gastronomy students. The best traditional sweet and innovation will be awarded.
“This festival, held by the Dulce Peru Association and the Peruvian Association of Bakery and Pastry Businessmen (ASPAN), will take place on the Castagnola seawall, located in blocks 3 and 4 of the Jr. Diego Ferre, behind the Aldo Chamochumbi Coliseum, at the end of Sucre Avenue.”, informed Andina news agency.
