Body of one of the Israeli tourists found


Just days ago a report was made that a rafting accident on Peru´s Apurimac River had led to the disappearance of two young tourists from Israel. The government of Israel had sent search and rescue members to help Peru in the search for the missing duo.

According to the Foreign Ministry, one of the bodies was discovered October 9 along the banks of the southern Peru river.

Fears that the missing two had drowned were building as time passed after the October 6 tragedy. The raft´s guide, as well as the other six tourists who were aboard, are safely recovering in Cusco.

The search continues for the other missing person.
