NOW Gallery presents a remarkable lineup of artists from November to December, reaffirming its commitment to artistic diversity and supporting emerging talents locally and internationally.
In this inaugural month, the Gallery introduces the unique exhibition “We Traveled 4717 km to Embrace” (Recorrimos 4717 km para darnos un abrazo), showcasing the participation of 11 passionate, creative couples who have merged their talents to create a collection of works that transcend borders. This exhibition shows how art can unite us, overcoming distance and cultural differences. The showcase will be held simultaneously at two iconic locations: Espacio Cabeza (CDMX) and NOW: Gallery in Lima.
This commitment to merging talents and transcending borders is a distinctive feature of NOW: Gallery. Not only does it offer residencies providing a creative space and necessary tools for unrestricted artistic development, but it also allows artists to immerse themselves in the culture and vision of projects through residencies within the Gallery itself. As an additional step, the space has expanded its horizons by offering an annual residency in Túcume, Chiclayo, thus broadening the platform for emerging talent.
As part of its international artists, by the end of November, NOW will present the “Cabo & Crossing” exhibition by Gamaliel Rodríguez. This thoughtful work addresses the economic decline and political aftermath in Cabo Rojo, using abandoned ships as ghostly symbols of unfulfilled promises and historical violence.
IN THE KNOW: The space will welcome the exhibition of emerging Chilean artist Oni 88 in December. This showcase promises to deliver a diverse and thrilling artistic experience, solidifying an unforgettable year of contemporary art in Lima.
