For the sixth consecutive year, The Adecco Group published the Global Talent Competitiveness Index (GTCI), a study that seeks the continuous improvement of the link between talent and economic development, and Peru currently ranked 79th.
According to Expreso, the country fell five positions, compared to 2018. It is now in the 79th place, out of 125 countries. Switzerland is number one in the world, followed by Singapore and the United States.
As for South America, Chile is in 32nd place and the best-positioned country of the region.
“The countries that make up the global ranking are divided into four economic groups: high income, medium-high income, medium income and low income,” said Nelson Montoya, general manager of The Adecco Group.
Peru’s results indicate the need for teamwork on the part of the public and private sectors to be able to count on medium and long-term strategies that allow professionals to be trained for the careers of the future and improve according to GTCI standings, said Montoya.
