Pecha Kucha Night will hold event to recognize green projects

The event Mega Pecha Kucha Night, Verde PRECOP will present the best eco-projects at the largest informal climate event in Lima preceding the UN Climate Change Conference (COP 20).

On Nov. 19 the organization, Pecha Kucha Night LIMA, will present 13 projects utilizing the Pecha Kucha presentation style. Pecha Kucha, originating in Japan, entails a presentation in which 20 slides are shown for 20 seconds. Giving 6 minutes and 40 seconds for one to present a concise and quick demonstration.

PKN hopes to have at least 3000 people in attendance and raise awareness not only in Peru, but internationally as well. With free entry, the group strives to create a space in which people can discuss, motivate, and create.

Taking place in the Ampitheater in the Parque de la Exposicion, the event will open up after the presentations in order to promote conversation and interaction between the audience and project creators. PKN wants to emphasize inclusion in the event as the goal to improve climate conditions is a concern for all.

Contributing to the event are the organizations, Cambia.pe, the Ministry of the Environment, Park Services of Lima (SERPAR), the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation (AECID), COP20 and the Delegation of the European Union.
