Huelva Film Festival awards Peruvian film “Magallanes”


The Huelva Film Festival granted the Peruvian film “Magallanes” the Colón de Oro award tonight in Huelva, Spain.

The Festival de Cine Iberoamericano de Huelva awarded the film directed by Peruvian Salvador del Solar, that tells the story of a taxi driver and a female passenger.

Considered the grand prize of the ceremony, the Colón de Oro recognizes the film voted the best feature of the year.

The film was also recently awarded in the Goya Awards the Colón de Plata for Best Screenplay and the Colón de Plata for Best Actress, Magaly Solier.

“Magallanes” is starred by Dámian Alcazar, Magaly Solier, Federico Luppi, Chistian Meier and Bruno Odar, among others.

This is the first time Salvador del Solar has been awarded the Colón de Oro for his role as director.
