Image Of The Lord Of The Earthquakes In Cusco Is Restored


The restoration center in Tipón has recovered several important images that belong to Cusco’s religious heritage.

The Ministry of Culture informed about the work specialists are carrying at the restoration center of Tipón that will allow Cusco to return the image of the Lord of the Earthquakes in October.

“In Tipon’s restoration center, located in the district of Oropesa, in the province of Quispicanchi, work is being done to recover the canvases found after the fire in the San Sebastián Temple, as well as in the conservation and restoration of the Lord of the Miracles and the Virgin of the Cloud of Cusco”, El Peruano informed today.

In addition, the Minister of Culture, Patricia Balbuena, met with her peers from the Environment and Foreign Trade and Tourism sectors for a work session on the Management Unit of the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu.
