Is earth flat or round? The debate goes viral

Rappers, YouTubers, scientists and enthusiasts alike are all putting in their word to the debate that has returned to headlines: Is the earth flat, or is the earth round?

The Guardian and the BBC are a couple of the many media outlets that have taken a look into the who, how, when and why of the question.

Rapper B.o.B. has taken to Twitter and has began a tweet battle with astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, while YouTuber TigerDan925 has exposed fellow ‘flat earth liars’ who claim Antarctica doesn’t exist.

On the other hand, YouTube user TigerDan925 surprised his flat-earth-believing followers when he crushed one of their widely held beliefs: that Antarctica is a myth created by round-earth believers.
