It’s Monday morning. You’re alarm goes off and you’re mind begins to race, already making a mental note of all things you forgot to do last night to prepare for the long week ahead. Aah, stress. It’s the bully that gives Monday a bad rep.
So why is a Stanford University health psychologist trying to convince us that stress is indeed our friend?
According to Kelly McGonigal, we are in the driver’s seat when it comes to stress and the direction we want to take it (may that be off a cliff, or down an adventure filled road with lots to see and do). And we all know road trips are better when made with friends, even if that friend’s name is Stress.
So buckle up and enjoy the TED video of the week!
