A breakdown on the Lima Metro left passengers stranded, on route to the Los Cabitos station, in Surco.
According to Peru21, the breakdown occurred on train number 4, 10 minutes before the train was scheduled to arrive at the station.
Passengers were forced to exit the train via emergency windows, and some even walked on the rails back to the station, the daily said.
An unnamed passenger told local news channel Canal N the train showed signs it was malfunctioning ever since it left the station.

Passengers remained stranded on the tracks for over an hour, until the train was towed to the station, and passengers were able to get off.
Two people suffered from panic attacks, and were taken to a local hospital, Peru21 said.
