A group of Lima residents presented on Monday the final list of names of residents who support a recall of the city’s mayor, Susana Villarán.

Carlos Vidal, and Marco Tulio Gutierrez, presented the signatures on Monday, Peru21 reported.

About 59,000 signatures, out of 400,000 are still pending verification, Gutierrez said according to the daily.

"If we take the previous three batches as reference, about 40 percent have been validated, and here we need 11 percent," Gutierrez said.

Once the signatures are validated, the group would be able to hand them over to the national elections’ board.

The board would then be able to schedule a recall of Villarán and her administration.

Once the signatures are validated, the group would be able to hand them over to the national elections’ board, in order to motion for a recall of Lima Mayor Susana Villarán.
