Satellite broadcasting company DirecTV will show the award-winning documentary “Mistura: The Power of Food” across Latin America.
The documentary, directed by Patricia Perez, is based on Mistura, the famous food festival that takes place in Lima every September, and showcases the best of Peruvian cuisine.
“Mistura: The Power of Food” features interviews with some of the most important figures in Peruvian cuisine, such as Grimanesa Vargas, Julio Hancco, Pedro Miguel Schiaffino, Javier Wong and Gastón Acurio, among others.
Last October the film won Best Short Film and Patricia Perez, won an award for Food Filmmaker of The Year, at the New York City Food and Film Festival.
The film also received awards at international film festivals in Colorado and San Francisco, reported Andina.
“Mistura: The Power of Food” will be broadcast this Thursday, November 24 at 6:00pm on channel 201 and at 8:00pm on channel 1004.
