La Molina district of Lima will soon host a new migrations office, the 6th in the capital city.
The Municipality of La Molina announced that they will soon be welcoming the Metropolitan of Lima’s 6th migrations office, according to Gestion.
In reality, it would only be the 5th fully functional office in Lima, as the migrations in the airport Jorge Chavez in Callao is only for emergency situations.
Perhaps this decision reflects a need to lighten some of the burdens on Peru’s migration system as the Andean country is taking in many Venezuelans under temporary residence during this time of turmoil in their country. tension under President Nicolas Maduro escalates.
No exact date has been announced for the inauguration.
