A Spanish business team, organized by the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (CEOE) and Peru’s Private Businesses Institutions’ Confederation (CONFIEP) will arrive in Peru next week, according to the embassy of Spain in Peru.
The mission, which is led Gerardo Díaz, CEOE’s president, is formed by important executives from telecommunications, infrastructure, energy, tourism, education and financial service sectors.
The visit comes at the invitation of Peruvian President Alan Garcia, after his 2008 trip to Spain.
The Spanish delegation will hold meetings with local entrepreneurs to explore investment opportunities.
Spain is currently the biggest investor in Peru, as it accounts for over 23% of total foreign investments.
