The University of San Marcos’ stadium has become the main venue for mega events in the country, after the successful concert that Metallica gave there for 50,000 people, said Carlos Barriga, Dean of the Education School

In addition, the university charged US $7,000 for the use of the venue, and the organizers agreed to be in charge of leaving it in optimal conditions after the concert.

He said that the concert made evident that the audience was able to enter and leave the venue without any problems, and that this is a proof that the stadium can easily host any massive event or megaconcert.

“It is the main venue because of its amplitude, comfort and safety. And it is very close to three big avenues,” he pointed out.

Barriga invited the show business companies to consider this place for future events, and said that the university will invest in improvements for the venue, so that it could host up to 90,000 people in the future.
