Peru’s Ministry of Energy and Mines granted a temporary concession for Sandia Hydro to develop feasibility studies for electricity generation in the future centrals of Sandia INA30 and INA40 (located in Puno region) with an estimated installed capacity of 315 Mw.
These studies are to be carried out within 24 months in the districts of Alto Inambari and Sandia, Sandia Province, Department of Puno, according to Andina News Agency.
The concessionaire is obliged to carry out the studies respecting technical standards and safety, preserving the environment and preserving the regional cultural heritage, and under the regulations of the Electricity Concessions Law.
