The Peruvian actress Magaly Solier said that she would love to attend the Oscar gala wearing a typical outfit from her country.

Solier, who plays the main role in Claudia Llosa’s The Milk of Sorrow, said that she will wear “a loose-fitting dress, that makes me feel comfortable for the photos, and also my hair will be loose.”

The Milk of Sorrow is on the run for the Best Foreign Film at the Oscar Awards.

Solier said that she is eager to see her favorite Hollywood artists such as Clint Eastwood, Sean Penn, Jack Nicholson, Nicole Kidman and Uma Thurman.

She denied the rumors that she was “feeling famous,” and defined herself as “a farmer girl who has worked very hard to be where she is now, but this will pass, too, and this is the time to enjoy this moment.”

The film, (La Teta Asustada is the Spanish-language title) has been awarded with the Berlinale Golden Bear (2009) and the Havana Film Festival (2009) among other prizes.
