National Institute of Culture of Loreto plans to promote the defense and conservation of architectural monuments of this city with the active participation of citizens, reports TNews.
Christian Bendayán, the Head of the Institute office in Loreto, said that this institution is elaborating a project on information and civic education, seeking to compromise the citizens in the protection of the patrimony, historic and tourism goods.
"We are coordinating exhibitions and interventions in public spaces, along some workshops and contests at schools, and posters that might help to create conciousness," said Bendayan.
He also said that there are plans to work on improving the Amazonic Museum of Iquitos.
