Netherland's Makro to invest US $50 million in five stores in PeruMakro, a chain of home improvement stores from the Netherlands, reported that they will invest US $50 million to open five new stores in Peru, as part of their expansion plan.

Pieter Boone, the General Manager, said that three of these stores will be located in the Limenian districts of Santa Anita, Surco and Cercado de Lima; while the other two will be built in Arequipa and Trujillo.

This way they would be starting a plan to open 15 stores in four years.

Boone also reported that last year Makro managed to surpass by 30% the results it had expected.
