Orient Express evaluating investment of US $2 billion in Peru's railwaysOrient Express is currently evaluating a possible investment of US $2 billion intended to extend the railways South of Peru and connecting them to Brazil, according to its General Manager, Laurent Carrasset.

The executive said that they are studying the possibility of asking to be granted a concession to build and operate a 850,000 km railway freight transport system, that is expected to connect southern Peru towns with Iñapari, located at the border with Brazil.

The company is also planning to open its sixth hotel in Peru in 2011, and is evaluating another two hotel projects, report Peru21 and TNews.
