Textile companies from Arequipa closed deals worth US $300,000 in Peru Moda 2010

Entrepreneurs from Arequipa textile sector closed deals worth more than US$ 300,000 during the International Fair Peru Moda 2010, informs Ignacio Rivera Castillo, Coordinator of the PromPeru’s Macro-Regional Office of Exports.

The official said  that this amount could increase, due to the growing interest from many foreign companies, specially in alpaca fiber products.

Rivera Castillo highlighted the presence of Arequia businessmen, since more than 20 textiles and handicrafts companies participated in that Peru Moda and Perú Gift Show fairs.

He also commented that some foreign entrepreneurs have come to visit textile workshops in Arequipa, due to their interest in local production.
