Peru's Juan Vargas included in ESPN's "dream team" of Italian leagueDespite not been playing lately due to an injury, Juan Manuel Vargas’ performance was praised by international sports channel ESPN, which included him in their selection of best players of Italian league.

Vargas has probably had his best season this year in Italy; reportedly great clubs like Internazionale, Juventus and Manchester City had been interested in hiring him.

He has played the last four seasons in Italy with Catania and Fiorentina.

ESPN ranking includes: Julio Sergio (Roma); Maicon (Inter), Walter Samuel (Inter), Leonardo Bonuci (Bari), Juan Manuel Vargas (Fiorentina); David Pizarro (Roma), Esteban Cambiasso (Inter), Marek Hamsik (Napoli), Fabrizio Micoli (Palermo); Antonio Di Natale (Udinese), Diego Milito (Inter).

Vargas, who underwent surgery today due to his injury, is recovering with no complications, according to Fiorentina’s web page.
