The SkyTeam alliance celebrates its tenth anniversary and offers passengers the possibility of having more than 13,000 daily flights to 898 destinations in 169 countries.
Since its founding in 2000 by four airlines, Aeromexico, Air France, Delta Air Lines and Korean Airlines, SkyTeam has grown until reaching 13 members in 2010, with the recent addition of Vietnam Airlines and the Romanian airline Tarom, on June 25.
SkyTeam now currently offers more than 13,000 daily flights to 898 destinations in 169 countries.
"During these 10 years, SkyTeam has achieved strategic alliances that have deepened cooperation between its members, giving our users access to more markets and much lower rates," said Leo van Wijk, Director of the Ssky Team’s Board of Governors.
SkyTeam is a global airline alliance that provides customers of member airlines access to an extensive global network with more destinations, more frequencies and more connections.
SkyTeam airline members offer their users more than 415 lounges worldwide.
