The President of Paraguay, Fernando Lugo, arrived in Lima tonight, to start tomorrow an official visit to Peru, seeking to revise the bilateral agenda with President Alan Garcia.
His flight arrived in Lima at 7:30pm (Local Time, or GMT-5).
Peru’s Minister of Justice, Manuela Garcia, and a representative from the Paraguayan Embassy in Peru were the ones in charge of welcoming President Lugo, who headed to a Limenian hotel without declaring to the press.
Lugo will start his official agenda tomorrow morning, placing a wreath at the Independence Heroes Pantheon, and then will visit President Garcia at Government’s Palace.
Both presidents will held a meeting and sign several bilateral agreements and give honors to each other.
Luis Castañeda Lossio, Mayor of Lima, will also decorate Lugo and will give him keys of Lima, a symbolic ceremony that will close his official visit.
