Chile’s Cencosud preparing entry of Paris stores into Peru’s market

Cencosud, the Chilean company that purchased the Peruvian company that was operating the supermarket chains Wong and Metro, is preparing the details to open Paris stores and Paris Bank in Peru, according to sources from the Bank and Insurances Superintendency.

Cencosud may be opening these business in Peru in 2011, since obtaining all the necessary authorizations will take at least six months, reports Peru21.

The company plans to invest some US $230 million in Peru in ten new stores, adding to the 59 existing Metro and Wong stores, and including Paris stores and Paris bank.
