A mild earthquake rocked lightly Lima early this morning, at 6:07 local time, reports local press.
It reached a magnitude of 3.9 in the Richter scale, according to official data provided by the Geophysical Institute of Peru.
The epicenter has been located 7km away to the southwest of Mala district, with a depth of 55 km.
The earthquake was barely felt in the South Lima districts.
According to the Geophysical Institute, this is the 14th earthquake registered in Lima only in August.
