Tricot stores from Chile to expand to Peru and ColombiaTricot stores from Chile, owned by the Pollak family, expects to complete is international expansion scheme in the short term, and therefore it is analyzing Peruvian and Colombian markets, reports its General Manager Antonio Egidio.

Pollak stores is a family-run business, and last year they estimated that they may be arriving in Peru in some five years; it runs large stores of garments and clothing, so they would be competition for the Peruvian chain Topy Top.

Tricot has already asked for the official registration of its brand in Peru.

Egidio told the Chilean daily Estrategia that Tricot’s sales rose 8% in Chile during the first half of 2010, and it is planning to open seven new stores, which would mean an increase of 20% in the transactions by the end of this year.
