Larcomar, the Miraflores shopping center overlooking the Peruvian coast, is expecting a total annual profit of around US $70 million, a 13% increase from last year. The results surpassed projections which put this year’s profit at US $65 million.
José Fajri, Larcomar’s general manager, credits the shopping center’s location and wide variety of stores with the growth in sales, reports El Comercio. Larcomar boasts four levels housing over 150 different stores, and receives 500,000 visitors per month.
Earlier this year, Larcomar was acquired by the Chilean firm Parque Arauco. Fajri explains that the strong culture of organization present in the company made the transition easy.
Members of the Larcomar team are collaborating on a project that Parque Arauco has in Arequipa. Parque Aracuo is also working on projects in North Lima and Chorrillos.
