The United States Agency for International Development in Peru (USAID-Peru) will provide US$ 17 million to increase Peru-US trade in the next four years.

The announcement was made yesterday by the head of the project "Easing Trade", Elena Conterno, reported Andina.

This will be the result of the implementation and execution of the project that started in last June as an initiative aimed at increasing the benefits of the bilateral FTA.

"This project is aimed at increasing competitiveness and support the Peruvian government in hard issues”, said Conterno.

The executive also said the project is focused on simplifying administrative procedures so that municipalities can fulfill their role in promoting economic development.
