Foreign Ministers from Peru, José Antonio García Belaunde, and from Tunisia, Kamel Morjane, agreed Thursday to strengthen political relationships and boost the bilateral cooperation between both countries, reported Andina.

The agreements that include the diversification and development of trade exchange, were reached during García Belaunde’s official tour in Tunisia and Morocco to promote the Summit of South American-Arab Countries (ASPA), to take place in February 2011 in Lima.

Both ministers highlighted the importance of organizing business missions to explore new fields of cooperation and promote the advantages and incentives to invest in Tunisia, said Tunis Afrique Presse.

Morjane and García Belaunde signed in an official ceremony, an understanding memorandum to establish political consultations between both Foreign Affairs Ministries, and an agreement to cancel visas of the owners of diplomat, special and service passports.

During the appointment, regional and international subjects were also discussed, and both ministers showed their will to strengthen the South-South cooperation as part of the regional meetings.
