Peru’s largest property and engineering firm, Graña y Montero, announced yesterday it will acquire a Chilean electrical services company for $20 million.
A statement from Grana y Montero said it had reached an agreement with Chile’s Grupo Enersis y Chilectra to acquire 100% of its shares in Compañia Americana Multiservicos Limitada.
Dow Jones Newswires reported that the share transfer will take place in January.
Graña y Montero President, Jose Grana Miró Quesada, said the move was a part of his company’s international expansion strategy.
Graña y Montero has a number of major projects in Peru and has run mining and energy construction works projects in Chile, Argentina and the Dominican Republic.
