Ripley Corp SA, Chile’s third- largest retailer by market value, plans to open at least eight stores in Peru in the next three years, El Mercurio reported.

Each store will cost about US$ 8 million, according to Sergio Collarte, head of Ripley’s operations in Peru.

Sales in the Andean country, which account for about 30 percent of Ripley’s total, may grow more than 11 percent in 2010, said Collarte.
