Sixty-five passengers robbed on bus in Peru

A bus carrying 65 passengers was robbed at gun point this morning in Chala, near Arequipa. The bus belonged to Hermanos Flores bus company and was covering the Arequipa-Lima route.

One of the robbery victims said that the bus came to a full stop and four men armed with guns stepped into the bus and started asking for money and valuables.

Some passengers who reported the robbery at the police station in Vista Alegre, Nazca, added that the thugs also beat them.

The injured threatened to burn the vehicle if the company does not fairly compensate them.
