Next week 250 Peruvian businesses that export textiles, footwear, jewelry and other clothing accessories will be joined by nearly 300 foreign clothing importers for Perú Moda (Fashion) 2006. The Executive Director of Prómpex (organization the seeks to promote Peruvian exports) stated that this show is the most important even for the local fashion industry. The trade fair seeks to put local vendors into direct contact with foreign companies.
The fair will also feature a series of fashion shows on the 26th through the 28th of April that will feature a collection of Peruvian denim. Additionally, there will be conferences and seminars on the the global textile market, the use of organic cotton, and export opportunities.
