Last evening Alan García accepted Ollanta Humala’s proposal for a debate on Sunday, May 21. , “A Sunday seems to be a better day to me as it will allow more people to watch than a weekday”, said Humala.
Humala made the announcement on the show “Cuarto Poder” and shortly thereafter García accepted the proposed date for the debate. García did call into RPP (a radio station) to say that “It does not seem loyal or proper for Humala to say that I am impeding the process”.
With the date set only a few details remain to be ironed out. APRA, the party of Alan García, has proposed that the topics for the debate cover: job creation, education, health, security and Peru´s place in the world.
