Fujimori meets with Japanese diplomats

Two civil employees
of the Japanese embassy in Chile visited in the residence
of ex- president Alberto Fujimori in Santiago last night. The diplomats stayed more than one hour. The appointment had been initiated by the Japanese ambassador, reports say.
Although the identity
of the civil employees was not revealed, it is known that they had previously visited him during his time of
Chilean newspapers assume that the visit corresponds to
a general interest by the Japanese government in Fujimori’s fate in Chile.
Fujimori indicated in an interview granted to the Japanese agency ‘Kyodo News’ that “one of his options” would be a return to Japan, in
case the Peruvian authorities continue to present/display criminal
positions against his persona or if his  name stays on the list of wanted
people by Interpol.
