Marcial Ayaipoma – new President of Congress


Tuesday afternoon the Congress votes for a new president. 59 congressmen voted for Marcial Ayaipoma, 44 votes were in blank and 5 votes invalid. As Ayaipoma had no opponent he was elected for President of Congress until 2006.
In his first speech as President of Congress, Ayaipoma said that he will promote the austerity in Congress, without damaging the economy of congressmen and that the congress will continue investigating the corruption in the government.



Originally from Denmark, Carsten returned to Peru in 2002 with his wife and eldest son. He started in 2005, among other ventures in Peru. Before this, Carsten has worked in tourism, living in France, Sicily, and the U.S., and promoted bands like Metallica, Def Leppard and U2 for PolyGram Records (now Universal Music).
