Bush endorses Free-Trade pact with Peru

Bush and Toledo U.S. president George W. Bush expressed his full endorsement for the ratification of his country’s Free-Trade agreement (FTA) with Peru.

This was affirmed by Peruvian president Alejandro Toledo after meeting with Bush at the White House this morning.

“It was an extraordinary meeting in which he declared his full political endorsement. He told me that he is behind it 120 percent, but there are timing and scheduling issues (in U.S. Congress), problems that are out of his control and certain processes he has to follow. I am going to work every second to achieve this”, Toledo declared to the press.

Toledo maintained that the differences between Republicans and Democrats “cannot punish a good relation”.
