Ask Saint Rosa de Lima to make your wish come true

Today is Saint Rosa de Lima day, a Peruvian saint who is well known for the scarified life she had. She was born in Lima and lived in a house located in the center of lima in the corner of Av. Belgrano and Calle Pasco, where now there is a church dedicated to her.

Many people have the custom of writing letters in which they ask Saint Rosa to make their wishes come true. They take their letter to a well located in the Saint Rose house and leave it there after where people believe that the Saint Rosa makes their wishes come true.

The well is full of letters most of the year but especially on August 30 the well is full, when a crowd of people make the effort to be close to the well and put their letters inside of it. Today the house will be open from 6:00am and mass will be held every hour in the church. If you wish to visit the Saint Rosa house and put your letter in her well it’s necessary to be patient or to go another day where you will have the opportunity to walk around and appreciate the beautiful house, garden and church.
