The "Contraloria General de la Republica" (an instituition that is
monitoring government activities) is now investigating the mysterious
disappearance of 2 original volumes of the Kroll report in the Ministry of
The representatives of the organism declared that this subtraction of the
documents is a constitutional felony against public administration. This
report gives key information to the corruption case against the fugitive
former president Aberto Fujimori.
The information regarding this disappearance was given yesterday by the
head of the Ministry of Justice, Alejandro Tudela. He also declared that
he will leave the Ministry if there is proof that the report was stolen
during his administration. Tudela also declared that the 2 volumes might
have been used in the recent media publication.
