Peru sets final date for Japan


July 2006 is the final date for the Japanese government to confirm their decision regarding the extradition process of the fugitive ex president Alberto Fujimori.

The Peruvian government sent a second load of files requested by the Japanese authorities, concerning to the mentioned extradition case.
These files confirm all the themes related to the case in order to clear out any doubts.

The Ministry of Foreign Relations, Ambassador Oscar Maúrtua de Romaña confirmed that if there is any delay in the answer, Peru will use pacific methods to avoid controversy. Any other additional requirement will be processed via the Peruvian Embassy in Japan.
