The average growth rate of Peru’s organic exports to Germany from 2000 to 2006 was 39 % per year.
The export volume of organics to Germany was 17,000 tonnes, an increase of 88 % compared with 2006.
The average growth rate regarding volume was 58 % between 2000 and 2006 . Exports from January to September 2007 amounted to US$ 34 million and 24,000 tonnes.
The most important products exported to Germany were coffee (92 %), followed by bananas (6 %), cocoa, amaranth and tomatoes. Smaller amounts of mango, quinoa, Brazil Nut, olives, maca, marjoram, oregano, thyme, Panela and mint were also exported to Germany.
