Peru’s Pisco a Hit at Madridfusión in Madrid, Spain

(LIP-ir) — Peru’s Pisco has had great success at this year’s Madridfusión Gastronomy Summit, affirmed Johnny Schuler, one of the renowned chefs that Promperu placed in the event to represent the Andean country.

Madridfusión, currently in its 6th edition, is one of the most important gastronomy summits held in Madrid, Spain every year.

This years internationally renowned event, which began on January 21 and ends Thursday, was inaugurated by the mayor of Madrid, Alberto Ruiz Gallardón.

Johnny Schuler, a professional wine and spirits taster as well as the president of the Pisco-Tasting Association, has been sharing the Peruvian brandy with all those that have taken part in the gastronomy summit by preparing pisco in exquisite and diverse ways.

Alongside Shuler at Madridfusión are two of Peru’s most prestigious chefs, Javier Wong – with thirty years of experience preparing ceviche and Iván Kisic – chef at Cala de Lima restaurant and an expert in the preparation of dishes with potatoes.
