Peru: Olivia Newton-John and husband wear Inca attire for wedding

Actress Olivia Newton-John, best known for her role as Sandy with John Travolta in the hit 70s musical Grease, married Australian entrepreneur John Easterling in a secret ceremony on a Peruvian mountaintop.

The ceremony was conducted in the ancient language of Quechua on June 21, 2007.

Mr. Easterling wore a poncho while she wore a ‘matrimonial manta’, which is similar to a small shawl.

After the ceremony, the couple spent their honeymoon exploring the Inca citadel in Cusco – the region’s ancient capital – before holding a second civil ceremony on a beach in Florida.

“John is an extraordinary and special person, kind, sweet and loving. He has a lot of integrity and authenticity and I feel for him madly and deeply. He’s thoughtful and attentive. He’s one in a million and I couldn’t be more enthralled that he is mine”, the actress told Hello! Magazine.

“I am the happiest woman in the world,’ Newton-John, 59, added.
