Senamhi forecast rains and storms for the next 120 hours


The Senamhi (National service of Meteorology and Hydrology) has sent out an alert confirming that within the next 120 hours the departments of Puno, Cusco, Ayacucho, Huancavelica, Junín, Pasco, Huánuco, San Martín, Amazonas, Madre de Dios, Ucayali, Loreto, La Libertad, Áncash and Lima could receive heavy rain falls. Certain parts of the highlands could besides the rain also receive hail- and thunderstorms.

This natural phenomenon is described as an orange alert, which is considered dangerous. The Senamhi recommends the population to be alert of the weather changes and announced that flights may be delayed or cancelled due to these weather changes.
